Our Story

Chef Arti has been cooking since she was 4 years old as her mum was a cookery teacher specialising in Indian Cuisine. That passion for food and cooking has been burning bright ever since. As her family comes from Indonesia and Singapore as well as Pakistan and India, Chef Arti travelled the length and breadth of South East Asia, India and Pakistan throughout her life and it is the cuisines of these regions that Chef Arti loves the most.

Chef Arti trained at the Leiths School of Food and Wine. Some of the places Chef Arti has worked for are the School of Wok in Covent Garden where she taught Chinese, Thai, Japanese and many differnt kinds of South East Asian cuisines. She has assisted in teaching Wagamama chef apprentices in collaboration with a company called Lifetime Training. She helped teach and assist with helping Wagamama apprentice chefs, knife skills and recipes from the wagamama menu.  Furthermore, she has worked for the Ivy Restaurant, Gully Indian Street Food, Market Halls in Oxford Street, Borough Kitchen Cookery School, Richmond and Hillcroft Adult Community college, Outsider Tart at the Lyric Hammercmith, the National Theatre Catering Department and Channing School For Girls.  She teaches clients Indian and South East Asian Cookery Classes. She also teaches Parent and child cookery classes and has an enhanced DBS check. In addition, Chef Arti has a Level 3 Food Hygiene and Safety in Catering Certificate.

Chef Arti also works as a meal prep chef for busy corporate clients, preparing weekly meals for them in their homes. Some clients also have nutritional needs. Not only that but she also works as a Personal Chef, cooking for dinner parties and supper clubs.                                                                  Furthermore, Chef Arti also works as a chef consultant and is able to provide her expert knowledge of Indian food to various establishments and ensuring chefs are well trained for the job at hand.

Arti is also an expert presenter and has worked with several Television and Radio companies including BBC3, The National Geographic and Sindh TV in Pakistan to name a few.
